Schultz and Summers Joins Lake Business Builders BNI

Schultz and Summers Engineering Joins Lake Business Builders BNI

OSAGE BEACH, MO- Shelly Hall of Schultz and Summers Engineering (SSE) was recently accepted as a member in the Lake Business Builders chapter of Business Networking International (BNI). The Lake chapter is comprised of 65 different businesses that help each other with referrals. Shelly and SSE are the only Civil engineering surveying company in that chapter and her participation fills a needed void at the Lake of the Ozarks . Chapter President Mike Waggett stated, “We are excited to have Shelly join our chapter. She has already referred business to our other members and we needed a company like SSE in our group.”

The Lake Business Builders chapter meets every Tuesday from 11:30 to 1:00pm at the Elks Lodge 2517, 5161 Hwy, 54 Oasge Beach, MO. It is a growing chapter but there are still several profession openings. You can go to http://www.bnistl.com/chapterdetails.php?ID=142 and check out the current membership and possible openings.

BNI of Missouri/Southern Illinois is a dynamic organization that was established in December 1994 and is currently operated by Scott T. Simon and Teresa Simon, Executive Directors. In 2001, Area Directors were assigned certain areas to better support chapters and members. Their overall responsibility is to provide the materials, support, guidance and infrastructure to their assigned chapters for the generation of business referrals among members and for the maintenance of smooth chapter operation and the recruitment of new chapter members.

About BNI
Started in January 1985 by Dr. Ivan R. Misner, Ph.D., Founder & CEO of Business Network Int'l., Inc., (BNI) provides a positive, supportive, and structured environment to further business through word of mouth marketing.

BNI is a business and professional networking organization that allows only one person per profession to join a chapter. Belonging to BNI is like having dozens of sales people working for you because all the other members carry several copies of your business cards around with them. When they meet someone new who could use your products or service they hand your card out and recommend your services. It's as simple as that! Last year, members of BNI passed thousands of referrals which generated millions of dollars worth of business for each other!

It's simple because it's based on the proven concept of "what goes around comes around". If I help you, you'll help me and we will both benefit as a result. Would you like to increase your business by 20%, 30% 50% or as much as 100%? You can see results like this! Many have. Some participants have added as many as 50 new clients in the first 2 years!!!

Successful businesses depend on word of mouth. Word of mouth advertising is the best advertising there is and is the most cost-effective form of advertising. BNI provides a structured environment for the development and exchange of quality business leads. It does so by providing an environment in which you develop personal relationships with dozens of other qualified business professionals. By establishing this "formal" relationship with other people, you will have the opportunity to substantially increase your business. If referrals are an important part of your business, then the BNI is the organization for you.

Schultz and Summers Engineering Ranks No. 3832 on the 2010 Inc. 5000

NEW YORK, November 12, 2010 -- Inc. magazine ranked Schultz and Summers Engineering NO. 3832 on its fourth annual Inc. 5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies. The list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy—America’s independent-minded entrepreneurs. Music website Pandora, convenience store chain 7-Eleven, Brooklyn Brewery, and Radio Flyer, maker of the iconic children’s red wagon, are among the prominent brands featured on this year’s list. Owner Bob Summers said, “It is an honor to be included in a list with some of the fastest growing companies in America. SSE has gone from a small company with a handful of employees in Poplar Bluff Missouri to a growing operation providing engineering services in seven different states throughout the mid west.”
“The leaders of the companies on this year’s Inc. 5000 have figured out how to grow their businesses during the longest recession since the Great Depression,” said Inc. president Bob LaPointe. “The 2010 Inc. 5000 showcases a particularly hardy group of entrepreneurs.”
Schultz and Summers Engineering is a Missouri based Civil Engineering Company with offices in Poplar Bluff, Branson, Lake Ozark and New Orleans. They have provided drinking water and sewer services to over 40 communities in Missouri. To date, they have helped those communities obtain over $80,000,000 in public funding. They have set up several large states of the art USACE validated testing labs and are one of the select companies that have been approved for Blanket Purchase Agreement with the USACE. They have also provided surveying services to a variety of clients from utilities, MoDOT, USACE, cities, corporations, small business, and individuals. SSE is a HubZone certified company and can be found at www.schultzandsummers.com
The 2010 Inc. 5000, unveiled today on Inc.com, serves as a unique illustration of the profound changes taking place in the U.S. economy. The Government Services sector showed the biggest gain in terms of the number of companies on the list, up 33 percent from last year to 335 companies. Government Services was also the second-fastest-growing sector in terms of median revenue growth, posting a 202 percent gain over the 2006-2009 measuring period. More than half of these companies are based in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. The fastest-growing sector by median revenue growth was Real Estate, now just a tiny group of 38 young, small companies, which showed 231 percent median growth over the period. (There were 121 Real Estate firms on the inaugural Inc. 5000 in 2007.) Business Products & Services is the top industry by number of companies on the list (640) and total revenue ($80.7 billion), while Health is the biggest by total employment (287,726 jobs).

Despite the fact that most of this year’s measuring period of 2006-2009 took place during the latest recession, aggregate revenue among the companies on the list actually increased to $321.6 billion, up more than 50 percent from last year. The effects of the recession are seen, however, in the median three-year growth rate, which dropped to 96 percent from last year’s 126 percent. This year’s Inc. 5000 employ a record 1.4 million people, up from one million on last year’s list. With unemployment remaining stubbornly high, policymakers and business leaders will do well to look to the Inc. 5000 companies for fresh ideas on achieving growth and creating jobs.
This marks the second time SSE has been ranked by Inc. 500, with the first being in 2003. Company founder Stan Schultz concluded, “Our employees work hard to provide a quality product to our customers. This results in new clients seeking our services and the reason we have experienced such rapid growth as a company.”
Complete results of the Inc. 5000, including company profiles and an interactive database that can be sorted by industry, region, and other criteria, can be found on www.inc.com/5000.
