 Nick Smith is March Employee Of The Month

POPLAR BLUFF, MO- Schultz and Summers Engineering is pleased to announce the March employee of the month was Nick Smith from the Poplar Bluff office. Owner Stan Schultz said, “It is always hard to pick an employee of the month because we have so many talented and hardworking individuals at SSE but Nick helped make the first quarter of 2011 one of the most successful in our company’s history.”

March employee of the month Nick Smith has been with SSE since November 2009. Prior to joining SSE he worked for Trimble where he trained customer on how to use Trimble GPS products. “The people at SSE are what make my job so enjoyable. Having good co-workers makes work fun. My customers and co-workers are what I like about being at Schultz and Summers,” said Nick.

Nick and his wife Alysun are raising two boys in Doniphan, Missouri and are expecting number three very soon. His travels to New Orleans keep away from the family more than he would like but his surveying skills and knowledge keep SSE’s customers requesting Nick for their projects. Duel registered engineer Ty Milner added, “Nick has the experience and know how to handle any job. We have thrown him out on some huge multimillion dollar projects in New Orleans and all he does is perform. Some of the biggest contracting firms in the world who have some of the best engineers in America consider him a key asset to their project and they want him there on the job advising them every day.”      

 In honor of Nick being awarded March employee of the month SSE will donate $100 on his behalf to the St. Jude children’s research hospital. St. Jude is the only pediatric cancer research center where families never pay for treatment not covered by insurance. No child is ever denied treatment because of the family’s inability to pay.
