NEW ORLEANS, LA- Schultz and Summers Engineering is pleased to announce the February
employee of the month was Wes Barnett
from the New Orleans office. Owner Stan Schultz said, “It is always hard to pick an employee of the month because we
have so many talented and hardworking individuals at SSE, but Wes helped our
operations in New Orleans run much more efficiently.”
February
Employee of the month Wes Barnett will celebrate his 2nd anniversary with SSE
this August. As an E.I.T. Wes is a key
part of SSE’s New Orleans operation. He
not only conducts tests, but he also makes sure all test results are accurate
and completed on time. Wes said "The best part about
working for SSE is the people I work with everyday. I enjoy the humor we have
in our offices and also the hard work that people are willing to put forth,
making the company successful."
Wes
and his wife Sarai
currently have no children, but are hoping to start adopting from another
country soon. Before joining SSE he graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical
Engineering from Mississippi State University.
As a new E.I.T. Wes had the opportunity to work in the University's
Cooperative Program with Entergy Operations at Grand Gulf
Nuclear Station in Port Gibson, MS. He focused on the predictive maintenance
department, and assisted engineers in performing vibration analysis on pumps
and motors throughout the plant as well as infrared thermography. NOLA Operations manager Thomas Hudson added, “Having Wes on our team is one
reason we have been so successful in NOLA.
His dedication to our clients and their needs is unmatched and I can
always count on him to take care of any problems that arise.”
In honor
of Wes being awarded February employee of the month, SSE will donate $100 on
his behalf to the Lifeline Children's Services.
The LCS assists birthmothers and prospective adoptive families by
offering complete adoption services to birthparents, including counseling,
housing, medical care, legal services, and the assurance that the baby will be
placed with a Christian family. More
