NEW ORLEANS, LA- Schultz and Summers Engineering is pleased to announce the February employee of the month was Wes Barnett from the New Orleans office.  Owner Stan Schultz said, “It is always hard to pick an employee of the month because we have so many talented and hardworking individuals at SSE, but Wes helped our operations in New Orleans run much more efficiently.”

February Employee of the month Wes Barnett will celebrate his 2nd anniversary with SSE this August.  As an E.I.T. Wes is a key part of SSE’s New Orleans operation.  He not only conducts tests, but he also makes sure all test results are accurate and completed on time.  Wes said "The best part about working for SSE is the people I work with everyday. I enjoy the humor we have in our offices and also the hard work that people are willing to put forth, making the company successful."

Wes and his wife Sarai currently have no children, but are hoping to start adopting from another country soon.  Before joining SSE he graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Mississippi State University.  As a new E.I.T. Wes had the opportunity to work in the University's Cooperative Program with Entergy Operations at Grand Gulf Nuclear Station in Port Gibson, MS. He focused on the predictive maintenance department, and assisted engineers in performing vibration analysis on pumps and motors throughout the plant as well as infrared thermography.  NOLA Operations manager Thomas Hudson added, “Having Wes on our team is one reason we have been so successful in NOLA.  His dedication to our clients and their needs is unmatched and I can always count on him to take care of any problems that arise.”

In honor of Wes being awarded February employee of the month, SSE will donate $100 on his behalf to the Lifeline Children's Services.  The LCS assists birthmothers and prospective adoptive families by offering complete adoption services to birthparents, including counseling, housing, medical care, legal services, and the assurance that the baby will be placed with a Christian family.  More info can be found at http://lifelineadoption.org/

“Wes has shown the willingness to go wherever we need him and do whatever it takes to keep our customers happy.  His work ethic and attitude is the main reason our company was recognized as one of the fastest growing business in America last year,” concluded owner Bob Summers.
